Our primary mission is to protect the staple of our nation. By extending the life of Injera from 3 days to 15 days, we aim to:
- Achieve Zero-Waste Households: Tackle the 20-30% food waste currently found in Ethiopian homes.
- Ensure Food Security: Make sure that every family has access to fresh, healthy food regardless of their baking schedule.
- Preserve Culinary Heritage: Use modern technology to protect traditional food values for the next generation.
2. Economic Empowerment (Economic Goal)
We believe technology should put money back into the pockets of the people.
- Household Savings: Save families thousands of Birr annually by eliminating food spoilage.
- Job Creation: Build a hub for local talent by employing and training Electrical and Mechanical engineers right here in Ethiopia.

3. Climate-Smart Innovation (Environmental Goal)

- Reducing Methane Emissions: By stopping food from rotting in landfills, we directly reduce the production of harmful greenhouse gases.
- Eco-Friendly Manufacturing: Our goal is to use 100% sustainable, food-grade materials in our production line.
- Energy Sovereignty: Every Smart Mesob is designed to be ultra-low power and solar-ready to minimize the strain on the national grid.
4. Technological Sovereignty (Strategic Goal)
Ethiopia shouldn’t just be a consumer of tech; we should be a creator.
- Digital Ethiopia 2030: Align every project with the national strategy to transform Ethiopia into a knowledge-based economy.
- Homegrown Hardware: Prove that high-end IoT and smart hardware can be designed, manufactured, and managed locally.
- Scalable Solutions: Take the “Smart Mesob” concept and apply it to other traditional storage needs across Africa.
